Century 21 Coastland Reality is an outstanding company. We were well taken care of. Love the staff there.

Our family loves Emerald Isle, but we will NEVER rent from Coastland again! We stayed at Rooms With A View East in July 2020. The location was perfect and the pool was great. When we checked in, the house was filthy - dirty towels laying on a bed, hair everywhere on dressers, crumbs on the kitchen table, I could go on. When we called after check-In, no one answered.

When we went to the office during office hours, it was locked up tight. There is no way a cleaning company touched that place in between rentals. But the biggest problem was COCKROACHES! Which, Coastland quickly dismissed as Palmetto bugs (PSA: a palmetto bug is a cockroach!). They did finally tell us they would send an exterminator in the next 2 days - but no one ever showed up.

We called more and emailed photos to management. They offered to give us $100. They basically told us that every week, 20 or 30 people are unsatisfied with the accommodations and that's just part of the business. I don't feel that it is unreasonable to want to spend the week without bugs in your bedroom! We will make sure our friends and family ONLY rent from Emerald Isle Realty! Coastland has Terrible customer service and not a care in the world for their tenants' concerns.

We rented a Vacation Home through VRBO which happened to be through here. The employees are very nice and willing to make your stay enjoyable. I do believe that they need to look at changing their cleaning company/standards for the homes they have for Rent. Working in the Medical Field and them just spraying the comforters with Lysol was not acceptable.

I feel like all linings should be dry-cleaned before the next guests arrive. Again, the employees I dealt with were super helpful and understanding. Would consider Renting again for a vacation home but would have to see that they have changed their cleaning standards for the better.

CENTURY 21 Coastland Realty is my favorite real estate company in Emerald Isle. Over the last 16 years we have used others only to come back to Century 21. I previously had required an annual rental and Century 21 found the perfect property. So when I retired recently and wanted to live on Emerald Isle, naturally I contacted Steve Conklin who had found me a property before.

He and Martha were fantastic. I believe in business it is important to have and maintain relationships. Century 21 is very professional, friendly, trustworthy, knowledgeable and timely. Other local realtors just seem like a big business where they just want your money. Were it not for purchasing a home in New Bern near family, I would still be a client. I look forward to future vacation rentals now that I no longer live on the island. Thank you Century 21 Team!

Cried upon arrival and misled.1301 Ocean Drive, Emerald Isle. I've never been so disappointed by a beach rental in my life. We're a military family and my husband just returned from a deployment. This was our fun beach vacation and we had people coming to visit us. I was completely embarrassed by the property. The property was SOLD during our stay and we were inconvenienced on not one, but two occasions.

Absolutely inexcusable. The listing agent should've informed Vrbo and we should've been given an option to stay elsewhere. They 'the real estate rental company' told me upon check-in there was a showing at the property on the Tuesday. I'm an understanding person and was willing to accommodate. When they called to confirm, they said it was a 'final inspection' and would take 30 minutes.

They were there more than 2 hours. Would you allow this on your vacation? If I was told that upon arrival, I would've understood more what was going on and tried to change this stay at that time. I was misled and not given proper notice of the situation. On Thursday, the new owner wanted cable installed and inconvenienced us again. Rude and completely unacceptable.

The installation technician interrupted our lunch and said he'd be 10 minutes. He was more than an hour. Again, would you like this on your vacation? The listing of this property was quite inaccurate for what it really was, there were cockroaches, the house was dirty, outdated and unwelcoming. They provided linens and I had to put them on myself, that's one thing, but the bedspreads were not washed from prior stays, were stained and foul.

I wanted to gag. Light bulbs were out, the mattresses were uncomfortable, and the couch had the most disgusting slip covers I've ever seen. I didn't sit on the couch the entirety of my stay. We left a day early we were so disgusted by the entire situation. I feel completely robbed of a nice stay at a waterfront property. The view and the beach didn't even make up for this horrendous show.

I will not use use this company in the future, nor will I recommend them to any my friends. The stay was a negative and I would not give a single star if I was given the option.

My family as we always do came to Emerald Isle for our family vacation. We have added a few more family members over the years and we grew out of the home that we have always rented. We contacted CENTURY 21 Coastland Realty and they were fantastic from start to finish. The booking process was very simple and check in was a breeze.

Be wary! I booked a place in April 2019 for July 2019. One week before we were due to arrive, our booking was cancelled because it had not been repaired from Hurricane Michael (October 2018). We did not know at the time we were booking, the unit was not suitable for habitation. Century 21 offered to find us a new residence, and there was little left to rent in our price range at such a late date. They did not offer to compensate us for the inconvenience, either. I had travel insurance so I received a full refund and I found a home on VRBO, cheaper and larger.

Century 21 Coastland Realty is one the BEST companies I have dealt with over my many years of vacations. My family and I stayed in the Lucky Pelican and the property was better than we imagined from the Kitchen to the bathrooms everything was in great shape and spotless. When we arrived our linens had already been delivered! We will be returning to Emerald Isle very soon and will be booking through Century 21 Coastland Realty again!

The Century 21 Coastland Realty company made our vacation rental the easiest and simplest we have ever arranged. They worked with us from the beginning and assured us the room that we wanted. We were thinking that the Pebble Beach condos would be nice but our expectations were well exceeded. This was by far the nicest and most comfortable place we have ever stayed and we have stayed in upper scale places.

It really felt like our home away from home. The convenience of the amenities and location of the beach was excellent. We weren't bothered by anyone. It was very quiet and peaceful. The realty company made sure we had everything we needed which was a lovely surprise. Everyone was so friendly and nice. They took time to answer questions from the time we booked until after we left, making sure we were happy and thanking us. We look forward to working with Century 21 Coastland Realty on arranging future vacations and perhaps making a permanent purchase one day.

My family lived in a long term rental from this company for the past two years. We had such a great experience and will miss working with them! They respond quickly to needs and are always easy to work with. I would definitely work with them again and recommend them!

We came down to Emerald Isle for a family reunion and rented several places from Coastland Realty. We called to several companies before choosing them, as we found they were the most helpful and friendly on the phone. The agents actually knew the properties personally and were in Emerald Isle. Their prices were the most reasonable we heard from the 3 other companies we called.

We arrived after hours and owed a balance and they let us pick up the keys anyway and drop out check in the drop box. Unheard of these days. We did have an air conditioner problem at one of the places, but it was fixed in a timely manner. We will definitely be using this company again if we get a chance to come back to Emerald Isle.
