Century 21 was good to work with! Mostly professional and responded to our needs in a good time. We stayed at Retes retreat and it was the best house we have ever rented. It was clean and the kitchen was well organized and clean. Plenty of room for our family of 8. The location right at the beach was great and the pool was wonderful. Con: after we rented it they took.one of the bunk beds out so that left us with one bed short.
They thought it was ok to replace with a roll away. Ever slept on a roll away. The office manager said well they could give us our money back or find another place. 3 weeks away from our vacation! The master shower needs a good cleaning. Mold around shower doors. The new pool was great. It's a shame they are letting so many weeds grow up around it. Would differently rental Retes retreat again!

We stayed at summer place. Loved the beach and the area around. Nice and quiet. Great for families. The unit could use some TLC. The third floor master was so warm they had a portable unit that did not work. I called and could never reach the emergency contact. I was redirected over and over to the office. The main ac was working so we just ran a fan in that room.
Never really was cool. We liked the unit in regards to view, proximity to beach and bedroom size. The house just needs a good scrubbing. So much sand on the floors and under the couch and tables. Lots of clutter just lying around in the family room. The pantry had things all over the floors basically a cluttered mess. Cabinets( kitchen and bath) need cleaning inside.
I don't know the cleaning service but a neighbor said they saw them come in and leave in 30 minutes. Definitely not doing a good job during covid! Century 21 was easy to work with on my reservation. Shout out to Liz and CJ for excellent customer service. Just wish I could have gotten anyone else when I needed them on Sunday. Will return to north topsail. Just not to the summer place.

We rented the Avalon for the first week of June. The rental was very clean and well equipped. The views of both the ocean and the channel are amazing! It was nice to have a table and chairs on the front porch. We also used the outside shower daily. The linens from Sweet Dreams that we're included with the rental were packaged and they also included kitchen towels which was a good idea.
My only recommendations would be to have more outside seating. There was only one chair on each of the upstairs decks. A good broom would have come in handy for sweeping sand. I would definitely consider staying at the Avalon again.

Century 21 seems to have a number of great rentals to chose from. Love the check out process, I didn't have to go back to the company! Love that cleaning AND linens were included in my rental. The only downsides I could see was the linens were not already on the beds and in the bathrooms, there is TOO many emails/texts from them leading up to your stay and during your stay and I had asked for a call when our house was ready for check in, as we were already on the beach that day and they didn't call until 4pm : which I know is normal check in time but since we were in front of our house on the beach, I knew it was ready earlier. Overall, great vacation experience!

Stayed at the Sweet T house on the South end of Topsail. Gave it 4 stars as opposed to 5 due to the number of outside seating. There were only 2 chairs to sit on with the addition of 2 built-in benches that were very narrow and short. Unable to appropriately use the built-in seating; would have been great for children. We had 3 adults stay in the two bedroom house and the deck was adequate.
The widest part of the deck was on the smaller side and grateful it was only three of us. The upstairs was graciously spaced out with ample sitting and lounging areas. Kitchen was ok with cooking equipment (pans, dishes). Stove was ok but not great. The microwave/stove setup was a bit awkward making it cumbersome to cook due to the proximity of the microwave over the stove.
The AC was amazing and easy to manage.this was a huge win for us. The downstairs has it own entrance making it a private retreat for our young adult daughter. Overall 4 stars. Would recommend.if we stayed here again I would rent extra outside seating or bring my own lounge chair.

We had a great week staying in Beach Mountain. Century 21 was excellent to work with. Miranda and the other rental staff were friendly and very helpful at prebooking by answering questions, booking, check-in and check-out. It all went smoothly and quickly. Our house was ready before check-in time. It was clean and everything worked. The "cooks" said the kitchen was the best equipped we had ever had.
The location was very good and the beach area not crowded in early August. It was so good to have the bed and bath linens there and the beds made. And that really reduced the laundry when we got home.

My family and I stayed at the Over the Moon property last week and boy what the experience we had. On early Sunday morning around 3:00am my husband and I were woken by our bed breaking! Yes Breaking! And no it wasn't because of horsing around. After checking each other out to make sure we weren't hurt we moved the mattress from the broken bed and placed on floor to continue to sleep.
Once we could fall back to sleep. So Monday morning I called the office at 9:00 and had to leave a message. At 10:00 I called again and spoke with Eric - explained what happened and ask to have it fixed by the end of the day so we could get a good nights sleep. Around 2:00-2:30 I had not heard from anyone so I called again and spoke to Amanda. She stated they were working on the situation with the bed but it looks as if it would not get fixed that day.
She asked if the mattress could be placed on the floor and my husband and I could sleep there for the night. I did not take this well! She stated we were on a island and I had to understand things don't get repaired that fast. And let me tell you NO one and I mean NO one came all day to even look at the bed - my mother stayed in the house all day waiting for maintenance to come.
So Amanda stated she would call me back before the end of the day and let me know the plans - well she did at 4:30 and guess what. yep we had to sleep on the mattress on the FLOOR. Good thing this was not my mother who is 80 years old sleeping on the floor. So the saga continued the next day. My sister spoke to Amanda the next morning and she was told the same and would you believe Amanda hung up on her.
Finally around 9:30-10:00 employees from a local furniture store showed up with what. a metal frame to put the mattress on. If someone had of came the day before they would have realized this would not work because of the type of mattress it was and the broken bed frame! So back to the drawing board. Finally a maintenance person showed up with a long list of things that needed to be repaired.
He said they wanted him to repair the bed and put the mattress back on. Well needless to say when you look at the pictures it was not fixable the frame had already split from a previous break, the slates at the ends were split where holes were stripped, etc. Again, we waited! Finally the employees from the furniture store showed back up with the metal bed frame and guess what else. a Box Spring!
If Century 21 had of sent someone over the day before and realized the condition of the bed they would have known what needed to be done and it could have been resolved the first day. Now you are probably wondering what kind of compensation my family and I received for the inconvenience. None! Not even a sorry this has happened, kiss my butt or anything.
Oh we inquired but we were told since we could put the mattress on the floor and sleep then we were not inconvenienced. NEEDLESS to say we will not rent from Century 21 again!

We we're extremely happy with our house, the owner gives you a big bag of things that last the whole time your there. A starter kit with toilet paper, paper towels, dawn, laundry things, sunscreen, soap, and more. Very helpful and sweet. Towels and sheets were included also and they give tons of towels. The house was very clean, bigger than we thought it would be, plenty of room. Awesome deck and covered deck for when it rains. I was very impressed and would stay again and highly recommend this house!

A Century 21 representative called me hours before our vacation as a "courtesy" to let me know that the exterior renovations to our rental were not complete. We had NO stairs and NO direct beach access, despite the online listing. While I understand that Century 21 is not at fault for damage from a hurricane, they are ABSOLUTELY at fault for lying to me and not providing up to date, truthful information to their clients.
I should have been made aware of this information as soon as I booked, as well as given the option to cancel. The property's exterior was in no condition to be rented. The top deck was unsafe and in terrible condition. The stairs were"boarded up" with a string protecting my small children from a 20 foot drop. There was active construction all around us including the other half of our duplex.
All week we woke up to sounds of hammers beating on the other side of our walls. The workers had to access our property to complete various tasks. We found screws, nails, and other construction materials all over our driveway. Contractors randomly show up to assess the damage while we are trying to relax. Century 21 claims no fault because of the contract I signed (like I had a choice). Beware before you book! As a reputable company, Century 21 should be ashamed! Shame on you for being so greedy that you rented this property before it was ready and put my family in danger.
