I was looking to buy some information about available rentals in SW Portland. I called Rental Data Bureau, and was quickly assisted by the super-friendly and knowledgeable "Rob". He took down my information, charged me, and a bit later I received the information I was looking for. Read some of the other reviews, just now. I am not sure why people get so offended by having to pay for this service, its really useful.

I am a landlord. I noticed an ad for a house that I own, but it wasn't placed by me or anyone representing me. The information in the ad was incorrect, as was the address. I am outraged that someone is misleading renters with my property. My advice is to AVOID this business.

God I feel stupid for using this service. I was expecting an local expert who has the inside track finding rental places in PDX. For my $40 I got a crap spreadsheet page with "data" scraped off craigslist, zillow and other legitimate rental search sites. Nothing multimedia about it. You have to click on each picture icon to get it to display on each picture which are hosted on CL.

The topper is that if you change your search prefs more than four times they will charge you an additional $10 for each change after that. UNBELIEVABLE! FOR GOD'S SAKE DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. BEWARE!

This place is a SCAM. They post listing that don't exist, and ask for a "fee" for their service. They refuse to give you landlord information unless you pay their stupid fee. Ron answered the phone when I called and said that I obviously don't know how businesses work and that I would have to pay if I had my car washed or my dogs' toenails cut ( i have no idea how that relates ) anyway, I said "I do most of those things myself, I just need the phone number of the landlord" He said "Well if you can do that yourself, then you can also go find that house by yourself. It's out there." Jerk.

So I told him that it's shoddy business practice to charge a fee for the contact information and he said, "Aw I'm sorry" I hung up. There was a map on the posting so I drove all the way to Lake Oswego with my two girls in the car only to find that the location on the map was wrong and the house doesn't exist. DO NOT pay the "fee" it's a scam. I have also reported this company to the Better Business Bureau.

The worst customer service you can imagine! Agent was very rude and off putting. I called back in to file a complaint and got the same agent. He refused to transfer me to anyone else and said that I should file the complaint that I have about him with him! As the conversation progressed he told me that I was the one who was now being rude because I didn't wish to share my information with him.

He then told me that since I didn't wish to do that, I was nothing more than a prank caller and hung up on me! Then to top it all off directly afterwards I received several calls in a row where someone would call in and say nothing then hang up. The worst part? I was calling them from the office during my lunch break. Their behavior was immature, unprofessional and very rude.
