The worst of the worst, over crowded housing. Not enough parking at existing properties and no concern for public safety. This company only cares about the bottom line and not the surrounding neighbors. It's family owned and run much like Purdue Pharmaceutical. Rules and morals don't apply to Shea Properties.

Don't go near their managed apartment complexes--- if my own experience at Seaside is an example. Horrible supervision of facility and they overcharge when u leave I stayed only 35 days and they hit me for carpet cleaning $45--that is acceptable even though I had shampooed the carpet myself. Then another $100.00. Of course they took utilities out from my deposit only to find from SDGE that my account was not paid off by them and the same charges are now added to my current address.

Never used stove, had no refrig and no laundry and on second floor w one BR charging $2600 per month. Pool in summer is swarming with young kids 30 at a time one night that I was there. This is not resort living, it is slum living. There were, more than 16 kids in whirlpool which exceeds capacity and smokers at pool even though posted no smoking. I watched as kids urinated in pool and 4 year olds jumping in whirlpool without supervised adult.

I requested some sort of financial compensation since I did not feel safe to use facilities after that. Watch my neighbor get arrested in handcuffs.that is the top of neighbors you might have. Now if you read "Hoy" Magazine, you are in luck, it is free and every week there are at least 3 copies on the ground in front of mailboxes. The management does not take ownership or responsibility for 'safety' in common areas.

I warn you stay away. Even though I paid my move out statement in full and personally delivered check, they still reported my account as delinquent to collection agency. Another example of how poorly operated.
