We wanted to do something different from the typical tropical honeymoon vacation, and we are SO glad we did! We found Rams Horn Village Resort through RCI. What first attracted us was the cabin setup rather than being in a hotel room or condo type resort for a week. When we got there we had a welcome sign on our door that said congratulations on your marriage!
It was so nice that they made the extra effort to do that. The staff was very friendly, and the cabin was super clean and had everything we needed for the week. The kitchen was fully stocked to be able to cook anything. Our favorite part of the resort was the location. You can't get any closer to RMNP entrance, and the amount of wildlife right in front of our cabin was unbelievable!
Every morning and afternoon we saw Elk outside, sometimes just feet from our cabin. The grounds were quiet and relaxing, and we are so happy we found Rams Horn, we can't wait to go back!

Ram's Horn is our home away from home. We brought guests and right away were all impressed with the immaculate condition and cleanliness of our unit. We had stayed at a ski resort the weekend prior and Ram's Horn completely blew that stay away in this regard. The staff, grounds, and proximity to so many amazing things to do are unmatched. After a great week we dreaded leaving and are already looking for our next stay in August!

Very quiet, comfortable and convenient for visiting in and around Rocky Mountain NP. No need to pack anything but clothes and swimsuit-- for the hot tub that's just steps away from your lodging. Nice fireplace and comfortable furniture. Shampoo and soap dispensers in the showers. This place is a wonderful treat after a long day of hiking. There are opportunities to gather with others to share experiences. Loved it here!

When I checked in the cabin was very hot and there were ceiling fans or AC and the day was very hot for the mountains. So they have me 2 more room fans. My guests were told where to park, but the next lodger of the spaces wasn't agreeable. The downstairs toilet ran. They did try to accommodate me with goat cheese at the wine and cheese social, but it wasn't very good, but they tried.
They again tried to accommodate with gluten free waffles, but missed the target on that one, rather tasteless. We didn't try the hayride as the kids did enjoy the swimming pool. Everyone complained that the hot tubs were too hot, but the kids thought they were just right after being in the cold swimming pool water. There were no grills or fire pits located near our cabin so it was rather inconveneint to grill.
There is a tent and RV park located right next to the cabins, but all was very quiet. And that was very welcomed. The oven went out, but they were right there the next day to fix it. Would have liked a additional receptacle for recyclables. And the pull out couch with "memory foam" was hard as s rock! But with the fans, working the blinds and windows we were able to become quite comfortable, well except for the pull out couch! I don't know if I would stay there again for that price.

I am here at the Ram's Head Resort and decided to write a review before I forget all of the great details that make this place feel like a family camp. The owners are on site and they go out of their way to answer questions we have about the area, including where to get reasonably priced, good wine or where to hike. Their wine and cheese reception really surprised me with its fresh vegetables, cooked appetizers and crackers.
The owners were there to talk to people, which made it feel like a party. Dotted around the grounds are hammocks, volleyball nets, croquet equipment, bikes, etc. It feels like a place where families are welcome. Little details like cookies when we arrive make such a difference. I also enjoy picking up a book in the lounge area where there are a plethora of movies, games, books, etc.
The pool is a place where my daughter and her cousin are able to meet other kids. I like to cook while I am traveling because it is healthier, and the kitchen is well-stocked, and a nice grocery store is nearby. The grocery store alone feels like Colorado, and it has all of the nice things we need. On top of it all, it is near the most incredible hiking imaginable, and there are reputable horseback riding companies within 17 minutes from this area. I just call the front desk when I need anything, and they are super responsive.
