Secure One Rental Home Management

SecureOne has managed rental properties for our family for more than ten years, and also represented us in a recent sale. They are outstanding real estate and management professionals. They found us great tenants, handled every aspect of the day-to-day management, helped us through a remodel, and were there with advice and guidance as needed. Extremely professional, knowledgeable, and kind. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

I have worked with David, Jennine and the team at Secure One for a couple of years now and would highly recommend them to anyone. I now live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and I needed help renting out my house in Westlake VIllage. They did a good job preparing the house to rent, helped us find a landscaper to maintain the yard etc. They found us a good tenant and managed the rental process well.

After the renters moved out, we decided to sell and Jennine helped us get contractors to install new windows and upgrade the house to get the best price. They got us multiple bids and worked with the contractors to make sure the work was done well. David managed to get us multiple buyers, and we sold the property for well above the listing price. My husband and I leased a home on Westlake Island through Secure One Properties for a year, while we sold our house in SFV. This turned out to be the COVID quarantine year. Our experience with Britt Kidd, our property manager, was absolutely stellar, from beginning to end, when we moved out-of-state. She is the pinnacle of professional, efficient, responsive, personable, organized and considerate.

She addressed every issue (of which there were few, because the property was very well maintained) immediately and to our complete satisfaction. Unfortunately, I must add that we were displeased with the amount that was withheld from our security deposit after we moved out. A small amount was refunded to us after we complained.

If you are thinking of using another property management company, STOP! I agree with all the 5 star reviews for Secure One and Britt. I rented with them for 5 years, and could not have been happier. Britt was without exception the consummate professional. Friendly and responsive, calls and emails were returned promptly. Any issues were always addressed quickly.

Once reported, the appropriate service person they arranged for called me that day or at the next day the latest. The companies they use for repairs are top notch. I cannot imagine better service. In fact, now that I have purchased a home and will be leaving Secure One, I feel like I am leaving my family! Secure One will truly care about your satisfaction in your rental property. Obviously, I highly recommend them!

We have worked with secure one for 3 years as tenants of a property and they have been so great. Fast responses every time, they are on top of things when we have needed pest control or someone to come fix something in our condo and are fair. Britt has been so sweet to work with and she's never messed an email or phone call. She's specific and always works with us in a professional manner.

From the property management side, they were always extremely professional. They were able to find a long-term tenant for me that always paid on time and never caused any major HOA issues.

I cannot speak more highly of Secure One. They managed our property in Thousand Oaks for over 6-years. We found them after a terrible 2-year experience with another property management company who practiced poor bookkeeping, never sent payments, and charged us much more monthly for fewer services (and they were family members of ours no less!). Secure One was a breath of fresh air.

With Secure One we always had tenants, and never went a month without one. We only changed tenants once, but never went a month without rent payment. Secure One is always in constant communication, alerting us immediately for any fixes or upkeep that need doing. They send out a monthly newsletter that provides excellent information for landlords and real estate trends.

They are always timely with end of month information and have thorough bookkeeping. They have online access to documents. They are consummate professionals. You can always get a hold of any one of the team members in this well-run family business. Unfortunately the time came for us to sell our property which meant the end of our relationship with Secure One. David Kidd (owner) saved us blood, sweat, tears, and money by helping us offer the home to the current tenants and helping us sell to them.

This meant our realtor fees were greatly reduced and we had no one better than the Secure One owner representing us in a home he knew well. He did this sale for us after-hours, and because of his stellar work ethic we closed escrow early and without a hitch. I wish more companies were like Service One. We are forever grateful and indebted to them for their years of service to us and our tenants.

Terrible customer service! I called about a vacant property but couldn't even get a showing. As a renter, I can use other services. But I feel bad for the homeowner who relied upon Secure One to rent their home. If renting your property is important, these are NOT the people to trust with that responsibility.

This was our first time renting a home versus an apartment. Secure One made the experience a pleasant one and took time to listen to any issue that popped up during our 3-year stay in the home. We recently had to relocate and the move-out process was handled easily and our deposit returned expediently. You should have faith that if you are lucky enough to be a client of Secure One, that you will be handled with care, due diligence and professionalism. I've spoken with cleaning services and repair services that Secure One utilizes, and from the plumber to the handy man to the carpet cleaner, each of them will tell you that Secure One is their top client, class-A and they wish that the other reps and property management companies would take a few notes from their example.

Secure One has been our property manager for the past 8 years and has recently been our sellers agent during the sale of our unit. One of the best decisions we have ever made was hiring them. Having a property in California while living in Arizona has been totally worry free. And the sale couldn't have been easier. Thank you David, Jennine and all your staff, it has been a pleasure.

We rented a house from Janine at Secure One and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. We lived in the rental house for just over 2 years. We had three minor service requests during the period and the response time to address the issues was less than 24 hours.

Love love love working with this group/company. Any issues I had were promptly resolved. The people in this company, particularly Ms. Jennine Kidd, who even if I call after office hours, still responds back immediately. The property they manage are well kept and maintained.

Secure One Properties is great. I was with them for 3 years in a rental prior to David Kidd helping me from renting my property to going through and purchasing the home.
