I have dealt with many rental companies and Pinnacle offered some of the best, professional services. We had booked a trip with friends, upon arriving at the house, it became apparent the heat was not working. Pinnacle immediately sent someone out to fix the issue. When it was not possible to fix, they made immediate arrangements to get us into another house. We were compensated for the trouble without asking and my wedding ring which I left in the house was mailed to me promptly. This was truly A+ service.

Stayed at 3327 Becka dr. Developed a skin rash most likely from the hot tub. Asked the manager of the property if anyone that had stayed there prior to me had called to report the same thing. Michelle said the hot tub is "cleaned weekly." Sure. Our alarm in the mornings were mice in the walls, above the bed, crawling back and forth. Called to give her a heads up about the critters in the walls and she dismissed it, saying she has regular pest control and "there's no way there are mice." So if you're just looking to spend your money for a dirty house with a gross jacuzzi definitely get a place from this terrible property management group.

We rented a very large property in Kingsbury for a weekend and the guest house had a sewage back up the entire length of our stay. We had tried calling to get this unsanitary inconvenience fixed, but they never answered or returned our calls. After our stay, we were promised a partial refund (not nearly enough for the trouble we were caused), and over a month after our stay, we have still yet to receive the refund we were promised.

Some friends and I rented a home at 1392 June Way, SLT for a week. Upon arrival there were many unsatisfactory aspects to this home. The most apparent was the filthy, smelly carpet. After fighting with the electronic lock we finally gained access to the home. Within minutes I received a call from the property management, stating that this was a "no pet" home, my friends brought their two wired haired dachshunds.
When I explained that I was under the impression that since I purchased the extra insurance, this would not be an issue. I asked if there was another house available that would allow the pets. I was told by the property manager that he would get back to me. Minutes later my credit card was hit with a $500 charge, without my authorization or knowledge.
I then called the property manager back and asked if this meant that we could stay, since they just took a $500 additional deposit. Again, I was told they would call me back. Never happened. We stayed the week without any further contact from neither the property manager or the owner of the home. We left the home in the same or better condition when we checked out.
I emailed the property manager about my deposit and asked when I could expect my full refund. After a day, I received a response stating that the owner had ordered a complete carpet cleaning and deodorization for the entire house. I responded by asking why? There was nothing left by us or the pets anywhere in the house. When I stated that I thought the owner was taking advantage of a situation to get the filthy carpets cleaned at my expense, I was told that I was on the hook for the cost.
My bank is reviewing my dispute on this charge in full. I expect the property management, Pinnacle Lake Tahoe Getaways, to do the right there here. I can't say that I would recommend using this company for anything at this point. I assure you that I will press this to the fullest extent and will copy this review on every board available.

My experience with Pinnacle Lake Tahoe Getaways was far from positive. My fiance and I booked one of their vacation rentals through HOMEWAY. After sifting through prospective properties for our wedding night/elopement weekend, we settled on a Mewuk Drive cottage (property ID #574300). After paying in full we received a confirmation message stating, "Your next email will include your check in instructions and directions to the home." Two days before our arrival I emailed the property management company asking when I should expect to receive the instructions.
No answer. I called twice the next day and was told someone would call me back later that afternoon. They didn't. It was about this time that I searched to see if the management company was legit and stumbled upon their Yelp reviews. Oh how I wish I would have looked them up before booking! At about 8pm the night before our arrival we finally received the directions.
Once we arrived we noticed many of the light fixtures didn't work, there was dog hair on the furniture and trash on the deck. We could overlook that and decided to go outside to take in the view. There was NO LOCK on the back sliding door, it was broken off. Well, that was unsettling. We went upstairs to look at the remaining rooms. Upon entering the bathroom I stood on the bathmat where my shoes sank down about 1.5" and filled with water.
The sink had an obvious leak and judging from the mold along the bottom of the vanity, this repair had been put off for quite some time. I called Pinnacle Lake Tahoe Getaways and spoke with Jerry, the manager. He sounded apologetic and said he would be in touch with a solution and would ask the owner about a partial refund. We never heard back from Jerry.
With all the stress surrounding a wedding we just did not have the energy to follow up. We ended up sleeping in the full bed downstairs so that we could be next to the working bathroom. Two weeks after checkout I noticed we had yet to be reimbursed for the security deposit. I called the management office again, to which they replied, "oops I don't know what happened, it should have gone through." They made the correction. This is by far the worst property I have ever reserved through HOMEAWAY.
