I did not write a review 4 years ago, but having seen their billboards, I have changed my mind. We contacted them 4 years ago about a rental and were unable to get basic information; they insisted we give them our name, address and email contact info prior to telling us where the condo was located. Suffice it to say: we declined to provide info and the condo's location remains unknown.

We actually booked from vrbo, I've had only the best experiences with vrbo. but this place this place was a mess, they're not reliable at all. We got check in instructions the day after check in. We stayed in unit #105. When we first walked into the unit it felt like I was back to the time when my parents just moved to America and we didn't have anything all the furniture is so old.
The appliances are barely working. The fridge leaked water, some cabinets just wouldn't close, also think there were bed bugs in the house because all of us woke up with bites all over us. It's time to update the whole entire place. Also trying to communicate with the host is nearly impossible, you won't get a reply until the next day or even later then that.
This place was not worth $800 for 3 nights don't even think it's worth $800 a month. Save your money and look for a nicer place. Especially if you have kids, if I could give 0 starts I would.

This was the worst experience ever dealing with a property manager and tenant. I will get straight to the point. I bought a rental property on the island and with the property came a tenant already in place and with the tenant came property manager, Holly from Hodnett Cooper. Right off the bat I had difficulty getting a hold of Holly for any issues with the property.
I had to switch cable companies and just to get the property manager out to the property was like pulling teeth. They said the job was done after telling them what I needed to be installed and the next night the tenant calls me angry and threatening to leave his lease early because the cable wasn't what we talked about. Again, not being able to get a hold of Holly, I had to call the cable company while at dinner with my wife and get everything situated and paid to have someone come out and re-do the job and paid additional because of COVID and the "hazard" of having someone come out to install additional boxes.
I had to call the company, leave Holly emails or I would have to call her office number multiple times for her to answer me. Not to mentions she charges 20% for long term rental management which is unheard of. When I finally had enough of her, I told her I will no longer be needing her services. Well, I find out the tenant and Hodnett cooper are com sort of business partners and if I fire Holly the tenant has to leave too.
I gave the tenant the option to stay but not with Holly as property manager. He respectfully said he cannot because the relationship between their busines. He and I agreed he can stay up until a certain date and that was that. Come to find out he did not leave his mailbox key and I have been calling him and holly for the past 2 weeks and nothing again.
Just crickets. The tenant is giving me the run around saying he will job it off this day and never does. Holly is nowhere to be found. If you use this company in any way, I advised you to do your research and make sure this is something you want to handle.

I own a property that has been in the Hodnett rental program for about 10 years. I am impressed with the improvement in technology that Hodnett has used, which has resulted in improved bookings for our property. The care of our property has been excellent. Their bookkeeping has been accurate, and their maintenance has been timely. I recommend Hodnett for both owners and renters.

We stayed at the Beach Club on St. Simons and could not have been more pleased. The property and condo were immaculate, the beach amazing and the pool with bbq area was just great. Hodnett Cooper made it easy to check in and check out, with several updates on the process prior to arrival and check-out. We plan to return next year, and I hope to stay at the same place. St. Simons is a charming island and we hope to move here someday. That is how much we liked it!

Buyer be aware. We stayed at 247 King and Prince in Sept and was disappointed by the accommodations. The property was recently transferred to HC in July and there were numerous issues with the property. All things that can be fixed(family room TV froze, no hook up for the DVD player, mold in the master bath, sink/tub clogged in 2 of the bathrooms, one of the deadbolts did not work, etc).
I did a review for the property(last review on their website was in Sept 2018) and the company via email link however neither review posted. While staying at the property, I gave feedback that someone should stay at the property when it is acquired and periodically so issues can be addressed. I hope their process changes so other clients don't have to deal with preventable maintenance issues while on vacation.

Hodnett cooper rented out our property it was the worst experience. They didn't check on the property knowing we lived out of town. Our neighbors had to contact us about our property not being kept up. No one return phone calls, you have to call multiple times and keep leaving messages. When we finally got them to do a inspection on the house they took selective picture to send us knowing the tenants had destroyed our home.
We had to evict the tenant. Then we find out the didn't have renters insurance so guess who everything fell on. I didn't no if you evict someone you have reimburse them. If you have a home they are renting for you keep a check on it yourself.

We have always had a wonderful experience here until today. It has been four years since we have been here due to illness in the family. Called yesterday to let them know we would be here early today and paid a. pet deposit. Been sitting in our car since 1:00 because condo is not ready! Check in at 4:00! So much for customer service!

Carly Oxenreider, Realtor with Hodnett Cooper just sold our home in Eagle Crest Subdivision, Brunswick, GA. Carly used a professional photographer at no additional cost, located repairmen after we moved out of town mid-sale, and worked tirelessly (nights/weekends), and sold our house at close-to-asking. HIGHLY RECOMMEND using carly@hodnettcooper.com
