As you can see from the reviews here port a beach house only replies to good reviews. This is also the way they respond to any problems you have during your stay, they don't. With my families booking port a house added fees to the posted total booking price in excess of $300, of course we cancelled. They then tried to access a fee to cancel. Thankfully we used a third party booking site that has a free cancellation policy and they got the fee rescind.
Bottom line here is to avoid PORT A BEACH HOUSE managed properties for your vacation and if you are looking for a property management group for your property don't use porta beac.

If I could give a 1/4 star rating, I would. This company did not do what they were paid to do. Housekeeping was sub-par their maintenance staff came and went in our home as they pleased without notice. And the owner/manager refused to return any emails or phone calls until we eventually had to fire them.

Our water went out in our rental, Casa Del Mar on our second night and the management company did absolutely nothing. Tyler and Kendall were no help and very unprofessional. Caught them in multiple lies like saying it was the city's fault that we didn't have water. We called the city and they sent someone over within 15 minutes to confirm it wasn't a city issue and there were no other similar issues near us.
We had to call to ask for updates after we had no water after 24 hours and Tyler said a plumber was on the way. a plumber never showed. We had to use our own water bottles to flush toilets, rinse off, and make our 9 month old baby bottles. We eventually had to start using the pool water because we started running out. They never sent us over water or offered us a new place to stay. we could clearly see the 4 units next to us weren't being used.
This company did not give a single care about our situation and handled it very unprofessional! The unit also stated no animals and there was dog hair on the ground and the living room smelled like dog pee. We also noticed we were charged more than we were quoted for when we booked. When we called they just brushed it off and said it was correct. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! ******EDIT****** since the company response.
Just proves more lies with their response. They say it was a city issue. We called the city who told us they had no reports of low water pressure and no water outages at any locations. So the city actually came to the property 15 mins later to check on things and confirmed it was an issue inside the property and to notify the management company. We have a work order copy from the city showing all this info as well. So blaming the city was and still is a lie while continuing to ignore our calls and texts. Even contacting the so called "emergency line" we were left without responses. We have text messages from individuals at the management company showing more lies and unprofessional and rude comments we will share as well.

We are frequent visitors to Port A with groups ranging from just my wife and I up to bringing large extended family (sometimes 12-14) and have rented from several different companies over the years. Most recently we rented a unit for the ocean view - thought we were lucky to find ocean view available when we rented only a couple weeks before our trip.
The unit looked good online and the price was reasonable. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the unit wasn't up to par and had a funky smell. Called the office and immediately got a call back offering to move us to a different (significantly larger) home for no additional cost. We might have lost the ocean view, but the replacement home was superb. So I commend Port A Beach House Company for their customer service that went above and beyond to make our trip a memorable one!

Due to COVID-19 the Property Management would not reschedule or refund our vacation rental in 2021. We had called weekly for months requesting for a manager to call back and never received any response. Basically I was told that a previous employee had stole money from them that caused them to almost go bankrupt. Not sure how this has anything to do with our situation, but I am out $4K and they said that they would not reschedule our family vacation. The manager I spoke with was very unreasonable and would not help to resolve.

We stayed for an anniversary trip! Beyond expectations! The house was immaculate! Booking was a snap. Staff was exceptionally friendly with helping with questions. Kendall and Brady the owners are family oriented and had great suggestions on places to go and things to do since they themselves are from and living in the area. The home we rented had a shared private pool and we enjoyed the convenience to all the amenities and the pool! Will definitely book again and again! No other company could offer the pool/beach combo features or the prices! BOOK HERE!

We booked a house with this company back in May for our trip in August. One of the main reasons we booked this house is because of its private boardwalk to the beach. We were traveling with four high risk individuals so this private beach access to a low-populated portion of the beach was priceless. When we arrived, the first thing we did was go check out the beach.
The boardwalk was destroyed and completely unusable. We were so disappointed. When I contacted the company about it they just said "well go drive on the beach". We did not have cars that was conducive to this, nor were the current COVID restrictions allowing this. When I expressed how I was disappointed that we were not told about the boardwalk (because we likely would have booked a Different house had we known), I was told management would call me the next day.
This has continued for almost two weeks now. Multiples promises that management will be in touch but they haven't been. The trash cans were also COMPLETELY full and overflowing when we arrived so we had no where to put our trash. The company told us to put it out front and someone would drive by to pick it up. We did and no one ever came to get it so we basically had tons of stinky trash sitting in front of the house the entire time we were there. We loved this house but with the way this situation was handled, will likely never book with this company again.

We stayed in a PABHC managed property for the last 10 days and had abysmal service the entire time. It took days to get a GFI circuit reset and calls requesting additional towels and sheets were never returned and the towels were never delivered. Kendall seemed to get annoyed when I would call. If you are a property owner looking for a company to manage your home and attend to your guests and clients, this is definitely not the company I would hire.

We have used this group to manage our house in Port A for the past 2 years. We have been generally very happy with the service. The house is always clean and I can call and get maintenance quickly when needed. I have read the other reviews and I would be upset too if I had ever signed a contract for a lower price and it was canceled or changed. not sure how/ why that has happened. For my first experience with a management company, we have been happy.

Wish I could give 0 stars. We booked a vacation with extended family months in advance and had already paid. They called recently and said they forgot to update the price. They cancelled our reservation and we we had to find and another place to stay, paying a thousand dollars more. Do not recommend.

We rented a two bedroom condo on Padre Island in the month of June 2019. When we got there they gave us the wrong code to open the lockbox. Called them got the right code opened it and no key. Waited 15 to 20 minutes for somebody to bring us a key. Went inside and the kitchen was filthy the refrigerator was warm and was not working at all. After contacting them over and over again we got a working refrigerator that Wednesday.
Our check-in was Saturday so from Saturday to Wednesday afternoon we did without a refrigerator. They also rented the condo as pet friendly we took our little dog with us and found out from everybody in the complex that it was not pet friendly what a discouraging vacation it was every time we took her out somebody would remind us that it was not pet friendly.
I would never rent from that company again. They did confiscate us for three nights but that did not make up for the loss of the refrigerator from Saturday to Wednesday. And for the people in the complex letting us know every day that it was not a pet friendly Complex

We rented a property from Port A Beach House Co for my birthday. The pictures do not show how nice this house is. Beautiful updated kitchen and lots of open space. We stayed during the off season and the neighborhood was quiet, as well as the beach. Would recommend to friends and love to stay again soon! Thanks!

Rented a house for two nites but they charged for 3 days, I asked how can that be, you check in on friday at 4 and have to check out sunday at 11 am, Friday to Saturday is one day, Saturday to Sunday in two days, I have always paid by the nites not by the day, that is a total rip off, I have stayed at comparable houses, condos and never paid by the day, also the booking, fee, cleaning fees add up, it ridiculous, the two day stay cost me $875!, is suppose to sleep 10 people but the bath rooms had only 1 wash towel, 1 hand towel and 2 bath towels, for 10 people! even though we were only 6, Only one small bar of soap, and at check out time they were there at 10.59 am. Try Port A escapes if you want a rental that are fair and always great. wont come back to this rental company.
