Update * It looks like the new maintenance that was hired has really started to take good care of the property so they deserve 2 more stars! We found blood on the walls. They did not paint before we moved in. Considering this pandemic I am surprised how the city lets them stay in business! Our backyard was full with trash. Water is coming back up from the bathtub when used.

Good luck if you need help, they do not answer phone or email and instead have an answering service that doesn't seem to like their job because they are very rude. The most awful experience we had renting! Avoid!

If I could give this place 0 stars I WOULD. Seriously they're worse than four star so NOT make the mistake of living with them. My window has been broken since October (I'm writing this in January) and it's still not fixed! The cold air leaks into my room all night! And one of our showers doesn't work properly and guess what. They STILL haven't fixed it. I'm fr do not lease with these guys they're by far the worst undergraduate housing in all of boulder

WORST PLACE TO RENT IN BOULDER. BEWARE! I lived here with my three roommates and we were so careful to be clean at all times because of the reviews we read. These people are so unprofessional and rarely answers calls and texts. They would have showing without even telling us! Our roommate was in the shower once and came out to a tour of boys in our apartment.

On top of all of that, they deducted $800 from our security deposit and we spent roughly an ENTIRE WEEK cleaning our apartment. We cleaned this place top to bottom on our hands and knees with all our moms. It is absolutely ridiculous that they accused of the smallest things. Do yourself a favor and find housing elsewhere! I have lived in serval apartment in boulder and there are WAY better options. Don't waste your time and precious money!

They don't have set office hours which makes it very difficult to sign paper work, get keys, or get answers. They have phones in that office but don't want to give out their phone number. When you call it goes to a random answering service and the person on the other end can never answer your questions. The lease assumes you will leave the unit dirty and deducts "the cost of steam cleaning" from your security deposit and in the lease is a legally questionable paragraph that deducts $250 for a "redecorating fee" and when I asked Cindy to explain it she just kept repeating it's a redecorating fee.

So it doesn't matter if nothing is damaged and the place is spotless they are still keeping a chunk of your security deposit. The place is nice and reasonably priced but getting things fixed and getting the security deposit back might be a nightmare.

Trying to get a simple house tour with these people is not only frustrating but seems impossible. When you call their number you're directed to a messaging service unofiliated with metro west (meaning they don't know anything). I waited 3 days to hear back about touring two properties, left over 5 messages, sent 4 emails, and went to the office to see it was closed. By the time they replied to me they let me know that both properties had been leased earlier that day. Don't do business with them.

The absolute worst company to rent from. They don't return phone calls or emails. They do not fix a single thing either. We moved into a filthy house with broken locks, broken washer and dryer, broken blinds, broken windows, broken stove, broken kitchen faucet, and broken wall outlets. They pretty much told us to take a hike and that nothing would be fixed.

They stuck to their word though, we have been here for a month and absolutely nothing has been fixed! I love paying thousands of dollars to live in a disgusting, busted, shat hole.

This company sucks. The cheap quality of our unit was not worth the extremely high rent. There are also a lot of ridiculous extra fees and rules that they use to take advantage of naive students and steal your security deposit. It's literally $150 minimum if you lose a SINGLE house key (even though the keys do not say "don't duplicate" and actually copying a key costs $1).

They're basically impossible to reach through both phone and email. Their office is unprofessional and the people who work there are often rude and unhelpful. I'm pretty sure the anonymous 5 star reviews were written by MetroWest themselves because I can't imagine a real person saying anything positive about this company. This was my first experience renting and I learned my lesson. I wish I had actually read their reviews before signing with them. Never again:)

Not the worst rental company out there (at least in Boulder) but pretty close. The people who run and work for MetroWest will do anything to separate you from your security deposit. Completely absent and unreachable unless you are say a single day late turning in a parental form in which case they will promptly and efficiently change the locks on the house so that you and all your roommates can't get in.

No regular office hours so you never know if they are there and they use a telephone service that basically means there is no way of talking to them besides leaving a message that they probably won't bother listening to. Be prepared for them to try and find any tiny little thing to charge you ridiculous amounts for on the security deposit and they are not afraid to boldly and directly lie to you or threaten legal action if you try and dispute it. Unprofessional and nasty company. AVOID.

This leasing company is the perfect example of how student rental companies in Boulder are able to get away with ripping off students year after year. Over the three years I rented with MWI, I have accumulated countless experiences of being treated horribly by these people. Here are some highlights of just how badly I have been treated by this company. -my apartment had roaches when I moved in.

As the problem got worse (hundreds of roaches living in my kitchen and bathroom), I went to their office and asked for help. They told me there was "nothing they could do" so I was forced to eliminate the problem with my own money and time. -their Boulder office doesn't have a phone line so you are forced to email them. The two people who run the front desk will pick and choose which questions to answer and will commonly ignore your emails if they are sent out close to the weekend. -They might as well not have office hours, since I have commonly showed up to appointments during open hours and the office is locked and empty.

Nothing stops these people from forgetting about your needs and coming up with excuses as to why they weren't doing their jobs. -My security deposit increased every year even though I rented out the same apartment. I have yet to get it back. -When the unit laundry room was vandalized by a homeless person and I went to the office to tell them about it, their initial reaction was "do you have bleach?" as if it was my responsibility to clean up an UNLOCKED ROOM managed solely by the company. -Even if you resign a lease for the unit you are living in, they will still give showings of your apartment with or without letting you know -maintenance will only show up to fix a problem if you send an email to the office at least twice. -speaking of maintenance, these people are LAZY.

When my doorknob locked me inside of my apartment, maintenance showed up, took off the door knob and put back on the old doorknob. When I got locked out AGAIN, they finally used their brains and actually bought a new doorknob that worked. -Living units are horribly maintained year after year. Windows leak in so much cold air during the winter and will drive up the gas and electricity bill. I could keep going but I don't need to. Avoid leasing here at all costs. You'll get treated at least slightly better literally anywhere else in Boulder.

I rented with them a few years ago and I hated the experience. When we moved in the house was discussing. I asked for them to get someone to clean it again before we moved in and they said they would (while my mother was there), a few days later after my mother had left, it still wasn't clean and I went and confronted her about it and she seriously told me she just said that to get me to be quiet and she wasn't going to do it.

Over the year, when we put in requests for things to be fixed, like mold on our bathroom ceiling, it never got fixed, our blinds we broken, our microwave didn't work for a while, and we had issues with our CO2 detector and had to call the fire department multiple times. We also had a horrible roommate problem and ended up getting a restraining order against her. MWI did not help us what so ever.

They wouldn't give us new locks to prevent her from coming in, and was not accommodating on trying to figure out the solution regarding how we are going to sublet or get rent into them. Every experience I have had with Cindy has been a negative one. They are rude, disrespectful and don't give a damn about anything but money. This place was a total rip off and I would never recommend a friend or anyone for that matter to rent with them. Cindy' dog is cute though.

This company is completely unprofessional and difficult for ever step of the rental process. First off they never answer their phone and trust me I have tried (currently have called every half hour for an entire day, never an answer). I lived in a town home for two years rented from them. None of the previous tenants damages were repaired when I moved in and it took over 10 emails to get fixed the things in the apartment that I could not live with out (like working light switches).

They never answer their phone and have no email listed on their website (this is the 21st century come on!) and their "send us a response" page is completely useless and I'm sure they never look at those. When I moved out and received my security deposit they had only taken into account half of our deposit checks and charged us ridiculous cleaning and repair charges (make sure you ALWAYS take pictures when you move in and move out!).

When we finally got ahold of them they took two weeks to figure out that yes our deposit should be double. So I have sent the first check back and its is now almost 4 months since I moved out and no deposit has been re-sent. Like I have said I have called every half hour for a day straight with no response and no email response. DO NOT RENT WITH THEM! It is such a hassle and not worth it.
