Gary Mitchell and all the people at Massanutten Realty are the best. Over the last 20 years Gary has advised me with purchasing lots, working with builders, and buying and selling four (personal and rental) homes at Massanutten. Gary has been there for me as my agent, financial mentor, and straight talking friend on every issue related to home ownership on the mountain. Gary's assessment on "the numbers" have always been spot on for suggesting price negotiations. Knowing who to call for finding movers and "fix-it guys" were also very helpful.
If you want the best. then you need to have Gary Mitchell and all the people at Massanutten Realty behind you as all of them work as a team to help you with buying, selling, and renting property on the mountain. As the main broker, Cindy Whitelock is excellent to work with for keeping things at the office running smoothly. Few years ago, my family bought a property that was listed by a realtor at this agency, named Gary. We had put an offer on the house, and we started negotiating the price with this agent Gary. At some point, he told us that he got another offer at a certain amount, and he exhorted us to beat that other offer if we really wanted the house, or else the seller might accept the other offer.
We asked him if we could see the written offer, he said that it was not legal for him to show us the other offer. He then proposed that we increased our offer to surpass the other offer by a couple of thousand dollars. We fell into his net, we increased our offer accordingly, and we ended up buying the house. The house was sold as-is, and we suffered terrible problems with it. Later, we worked with two other realtors (from other agencies), and when we narrated our bad experience with Gary and how he enticed us to buy that property with the bait of another competing offer, both those realtors independently told us that Gary typically pulls that trick (of another fictitious offer) viciously on buyers when he senses that they are vulnerable.
We were indeed vulnerable and this unethical and dishonest realtor Gary took advantage of us, by simply enticing us to buy the property under pressure from another offer which was FICTITIOUS. We thus warn potential buyers not to trust this unscrupulous realtor Gary if he plays any dirty tricks on you.

Nick Whitelock is by far the best realtor I've ever worked with. He provided everything we needed, from list of contractor to electric & oil company, without being asked. He promptly all calls, although at 1 point he was clearly under the weather when I called. Got us a great deal and closed on home purchase in 16 days. Easy to talk to & I felt he had my best interest at heart, not his own. Highly recommended & well known in the business

Gary Mitchell did a great job in selling a property in Massanutten for us. I thought it would be on the market for months and it was done in a couple of weeks.
