This is an amazing home. Much prettier than the pictures are even. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a few meals and the furniture was very comfortable. We also loved the location between Canyon Road and The Plaza. Very convenient to the Ascecia to walk our dog each day. Seedless check in and check out.

Avoid this company! They don't respond to requests, and they misrepresent their listings! I'd found a monthly lease option on their website, listed as "available now." (see the photo) I called with a few basic questions, like pet policy, parking situation, etc, and was told an agent would call me back. It has now been 11 days and I've never received a call from the agent--despite my calling the office three times and leaving messages.
I did receive one email 6 days after my initial call--which answered none of my questions. I replied to that email, detailing the questions and asking for a call back the next day. That was 4 days ago, and no call or email response. The advertisement was completely misleading--the unit was available only if you were willing to be kicked out at any point when the owner sold the home! And guess what--the listing is STILL up!

This was our7th time renting in Santa Fe from Casas de Santa fe. As always everything was quite enjoyable and Casas took great care of us. We usually rent for a full month, as in your own home. Little things sometime go wrong or need fixing. Casas, especially Amelia, was immediately responsive and took care of everything. Check in is always made so easy for us, as wel as check out. Santa Fe is indeed the lead star in the land of enchantment, and Casas de Santa fe is your best source for great vacation rentals!

The first time we rented from Casas de Santa Fe we were given the wrong information and keys. Like the Three Bears and Goldie Locks, when we arrived, ready to unpack our bags, someone had been sleeping in our beds! After a nine hour drive, we were not happy to wait another 2 hours for the issue to be remedied. The second time, the air conditioning did not work in the casita for our entire stay and most important, the owner spied on us anytime we were in the private courtyard outside the master bedroom. Also, rather than re-wash a towel that had yellow spots from sunscreen (happens when it mixes with water) Casas de Santa Fe replaced all towels and charged us $800.00 for them. Had I realized that this particular sunscreen (I had to purchase in Santa Fe as I forgot mine at home) contained a high level of avobenzone, I would have washed the towels myself, as it is easily removed with non-chlorine bleach.
Before the above debacle, we had already booked another house through them and were committed to it, even after we were greeted with bathroom roaches, millions of ants and a dead snake on the patio. Never again, Casas de Santa Fe!

We rented unit 43D in Bishops Lodge Villas, Santa Fe. By renting through Casas de Santa Fe, the rental cost was substantially less than if we had used AirBnB, VRBO, or similar sites, which add costly extra service fees and have no direct customer contact. Casas is right nearby so they are personally familiar with all their properties and can handle special requests or questions.
We liked that there was a local number to call for questions or advice.again, not possible with the various online sites. Pickup and return of the keys was a breeze. The office, by the way, is close to Whole Foods, so we recommend doing all your shopping before proceeding to the unit after retrieving your keys. [We had only one issue.(not their fault). with the housekeepers using a strongly-scented laundry detergent after being asked not to, because my wife is allergic, but Casas resolved our concerns.] The villa itself is quite beautiful: 3 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms, air conditioned, with BBQ, outdoor dining-seating for four, and a fairly well-stocked kitchen.
Everything is state of the art & modern, and the views of the Jemez mountains are non-stop. The pool is a very short walk from the unit and was barely occupied, although 2 families with kids arrived a couple of days before we departed, so honestly it did become much noisier when they used it on the last 2 afternoons we were there. So, that's a hit-or-miss, & no ones's fault.
The villa is about a 10 minute, easy straight-shoot right into the Santa Fe plaza area. We learned from a resident of the villas about a hiking trail which is walking distance away and on the grounds, called the 4-Shelters hike, which passes by, as the name suggests, 4 separate stone structures with beautiful architecture. The trail goes on for miles, but the best parts are in the first half-mile or so. It's a well-kept secret, so you have to ask around where it begins---it isn't well-marked. All in all, 5 stars, recommended, and we would rent from them again for sure. :-D :-D

See the common thread in comments? Dishonest staff. They charged us $250 for a pet cleaning fee when we don't have a pet. I tried to explain that the "pet hair they spotted" was from the wool throw blanket on the couch which shed a lot. They could care less. Big scam. We also had an ant issue in our master bathroom. Too bad, the house itself was beautiful but the service is HORRIBLE. Stay away.

We had a spectacular experience with Casas! Nicholas was a pleasure to work with and he helped us find a beautiful, luxurious and authentic Pueblo home just minutes from the plaza. We loved it so much that we extended our stay and are planning the next trip right now. Thanks to Nicholas and the entire Casas de Santa Fe team for a perfect trip. We will be back!

Casas de Santa Fe rocks! Amelia was very helpful with helping me choose a house that was best suited for our needs. We rented Casa Olivia for our annual girls trip. The house was just right for a group of ladies! We especially enjoyed the beautifully landscaped yard and giant outdoor fireplace. Perfect for sipping wine and catching up! This kitchen is the ideal stage for home cooked meals and a impromptu late night dance party!
Another bonus, the home is in walking distance of Canyon Rd. and the Plaza. Nothing but an A+ experience from check-in to check- out! I definitely recommend Casas and will use them next time I am in need of a vacation rental!

Girls Trip! I used Casas de Sante Fe to rent the most amazing house for a 4 day stay with my besties. The office was hopping when we arrived, but the process of checking in/out was super easy and efficient. All of the folks I met were extremely courteous and friendly. When we arrived, our house was beautifully clean and the landscaping was beautiful.
There were fresh flowers, bottled water and personal touches throughout to make us feel at home. Plus, the shampoo in the bathroom smelled so good. I made sure to bring some home with me. The instructions inside the house made were simple and helped us navigate the wifi, Sonos sound system and fireplaces. Thanks to everyone at Casas for making this such a special trip! We will definitely be back.

Our group of five stayed at Casa Arboleda for a week in November and it was fabulous! Nicholas was so kind and helpful in getting us this booking on just 24-hour notice, after our airbnb fell through. The home was clean, well-equipt, and had everything we needed - fully stocked kitchen, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, beautifully decorated, and well designed.
Each of the three bedrooms were well-separated from the other, which gave all of us privacy. The neighborhood is close to the Plaza, but felt far from the fray. i have stayed at other rentals from Casas de Santa Fe in the past, and all homes have been lovely.

Not recommended. They will give rent a house out to you that needs a very deep cleaning then take almost your whole deposit after you move out and have it cleaned claiming they lost the records on how the condition was of the home when you moved in. They will also do major construction projects while you are in the house and give you no breathing room or privacy whole they do it. I used to recommend at least 10 people a month to Casas de Santa Fe for vacation rentals, now I recommend 10 a month not to go with them.

Casas has been managing my property for almost 4 years now and I can only say wonderful things about the entire team there. As a property manager myself, I know how difficult this business can be. Ana and her cleaning staff never disappoint me on my frequent visits to my property. The entire team is always there and willing to go above and beyond to accomodate. If you are considering renting your home in Santa Fe I can't imagine anyone doing a better job!

For your own sanity and the health of your bank account avoid this company at all cost. I am an owner who was fleeced for many thousands of dollars by this dishonest and amoral company during the short time they managed my property. They claimed huge repairs were necessary (they were not), hired workmen without consulting me (who gouged me for huge amounts of money) and then charged me a "service fee" for a huge percentage of the repairs.
They engaged in slippery accounting practices AND were renting my place out without paying me. It is amazing that they are still in business. I am consulting with my lawyers about suing them. The worst that of Santa Fe has to offer. You'd be better off hiring a random stranger with no experience to manage your property, and it doesn't sound like they are much better for their tenants.

We had rented from Casas de Santa Fe in the past, but rented a unit we were familiar with so we knew what we were getting. However that unit was no longer available for our last visit in June. We rented Casita Ana from them and it was awful and cost the same as the wonderful unit we had rented before. This building was built in 1955 and Ana has had almost nothing remodeled since then.
The only visible upgrades were a new facet in the kitchen and a new toilet in the bathroom. Other than that everything else was probably 60 years old. When we arrived we found a closet door resting against a wall and the other closet doors almost ready to fall off. There was a big hole in a tile in the kitchen, the kitchen counter top was scratched, chipped, faded and ugly.
The appliances were serviceable but old. The mattress in the bedroom was old and sagged toward the edges and the sheets had holes in them. The bathroom's fixtures, tub and sink, have to be at least 60 years old, and it really is run down. The 1st morning after getting up, I went to the bathroom and looked in the tub - it was covered with little bugs. Disgusting, especially for the money we were spending.
The shower curtain was cloth and did not have a liner so it had mold on it and had little bugs crawling around in it. The windows in the unit did not have screens, as all the other units in the building do, so you could not open the windows. I tried messing with the TV but it was a bit old and certainly not a smart TV. We stuck to watching TV on our laptop. Also, I'm not sure how much soap costs, but we were going to be there for a week and they gave us a bar of soap the size of a half dollar.
We bought are own. On the plus side, it was quiet. And one last thing - do not trust the photos on the site. They make the units look much better than they actually are. Casita Ana looked ok in the photos but was a big disappointment. Whoever owns this unit is milking it for all he/she can get. They haven't spent a dime to make this unit nice. Basically they are say to the renters, screw you.

I had to find a home for a long term rental as we moved from the East Coast. I call many places and they fail to return my calls. I than call Casas De Santa Fe and at the same day they got us a lovely house in a great location. Nicholas Soto was a pleasure to work with. When we need any thing there are prompt to provide. Highly recommended. Thanks Again.

The single worst experience I've ever had. They are rude, lazy, and completely amoral when handling properties. I live at a distance, and they never told me that my property had a leaking roof! They mishandled everything, and then threatened me when I approached them about it. They hired absolute thieves to do work, and then shrugged when I confronted them about bills. These people are terrible. Do not rent from them or allow them to rent your property. You will regret it, I promise you.

This is a dishonest, crooked property management company - STAY AWAY I stayed for 6 weeks in a home of theirs that was on the market - although they told me before I rented it that it was being taken off the market The very first day I arrived from across the country, they requested that I show the property. That continued throughout my stay. I showed the property 5 times in weeks and since I had a dog with me, I had to leave the property every time There was no cold water coming out of the kitchen faucets throughout my stay and there were mice that I complained about.
They did not do a thing to remedy the situation. Further the worst thing I can say, aside from Conrad's rude behavior, is that they are now refusing to take in my mail despite telling me that they would be happy to do so after I left the property only 3 days ago- they are NOT GIVING ME MY MAIL I believe this is against the law - interruption of mail delivery - I was told by Amanda that this would be no problem for them to keep my mail since I was going to a hotel Now what?
They could care less about me or my mail but they were happy to take over $6000 in full before I moved in. I was supposed to rent a casita on the property after the 6 weeks of renting the larger home and they took it off the market - leaving me nowhere to go. I later found out that that they had had a leak in the casita that they knew about for a long time but didn't bother to fix They are truly dishonest people and Conrad is one of the nastiest people I have encountered. They gave me a truly terrible introduction to Santa Fe. I need my mail immediately and I have reported them to the BBB and will take this further unless they cooperate

I really dislike leaving negative reviews and only do so when I feel I have been mistreated and could not resolve the issue. I lived at a Casas property on Old Santa Fe Trail for a year and about halfway in, had a problem with mice. I asked several times for the issue to be resolved. Mice were in my kitchen, in the oven (which smelled of urine -- something I made them aware of), and under the stove.
The mice left feces both on the stove top and under the stove, and also chewed through documents in a kitchen drawer. At first, I was told I had to pay for getting rid of the mice. The house had holes in the adobe and an exposed crawl space, so they decided to handle it themselves. Deciding what to do took only slightly short of forever and the problem became worse.
I could hear mice in the walls and they chewed through part of the bathroom wall. Casas claimed almost all of my security deposit upon move out. They said the carpet could not be cleaned -- it was in terrible shape when I moved in -- and also said the place needed a 'deep cleaning' -- yeah, because they let mice run rampant for months. Furthermore, the dishwasher was from the 1970s and barely cleaned anything (had to rewash by hand).
It always had a funky smell to it. I reported this problem as well and was ignored until the month I was to move out. They installed a new dishwasher but it didn't work so I was without one the last month of my tenancy. I am so annoyed and angry. Avoid.

Casas de Santa Fe We have used Casas for at least nine years for our vacation rentals. The service has been OK. Sometimes they run us out of toilet paper or shampoo, once they left dead flowers in the house. But the last time we rented a house from them the customer service was truly deplorable. On our last stay with them I realized when I returned home that I had left some very valuable jewelry in the bedroom.
We called immediately and were told that they would search for it. The next day they called and despite very clear instructions, they could not find it. Our only conclusion was that the maid who cleaned the house the day that we left had stolen it. So we filed a police report. My husband then spoke with the cleaning service owner Ana Valenzuela who was very defensive. Knowing that we would be returning in two weeks and hoping that maybe they had been looking in the wrong place, my husband spoke with Nicholas at Casas requesting that we be allowed into the house when it was empty to look for ourselves.
He said that that would not be possible. Our good friends who own a gallary in the Plaza interceded for us with the owner who they knew, Lynn Zycheck. But she would not return their e mail and the office would not give out her phone number. So we went to the office and waited until someone could help us. Yvonne agreed to met us the next day. At that time I went to where I had left the jewelry and retrieved it.
Her response was "we looked in all of the drawers " which is not where we directed her to look. I was glad for her help, but if we had not flown back into town and insisted on getting into the house, I would not have my jewelry back and the poor maid would have been charged with a felony.

Furious at #CasasdeSantaFe! I rented from them for 4 yrs. Now They are trying to charge me $7100 for replacement of a very old hot tub that I never used for the entire rental telling me critters ate through it and I was responsible for it's Maintainence. ( I even had a pest service) That's just normal wear and tear!, $325 for the cleaning of the house after I paid $240 for a pro-service to come in and clean it top to bottom, $160 for carpet tacking in a loft that was NEVER USED - the carpet is maybe 4x8 in size!
How would it come untracked if never used?!? And chimney cleaning for 2 chimneys I also never used! I'm a 60 yr old woman who kept this house impeccable. Do not rent from them or if you do, take pics upon arrival and departure! And keep all records. They will use you as a profit center.

I've been leasing a vacation condo in Santa Fe via Casas de Santa Fe for a couple of months now. I've been really impressed with Casas' friendliness and attention to service. The agent I worked with (Conrad) gave me several attractive options for my Santa Fe stay, provided excellent, no-pressure advice, and was very patient during my decision-making process. Casas has been quick to respond regarding minor issues that have come up. I'd highly recommend working with Casas de Santa Fe if you're planning a visit to Santa Fe.

My wife and I recently used Casas de Santa Fe for our first trip traveling with our new precious cargo, our baby boy. I wanted everything about this trip to go as smoothly as possible and for my wife to enjoy her stay as a new mommy, as we all know traveling can be stressful especially with a new baby. From the moment I called to inquire about our stay, to the day that we left there was not one hiccup.
I have to credit the staff at Casas de Santa Fe for the outstanding communication throughout this process. As a family, we suffer from major allergies such as smoke to certain laundry detergents. Cases de Santa Fe's staff was incredibly proactive in their attempt to make our stay as allergen free as possible. It was their idea to have the sheets, pillows, and towels washed in our special detergent.
Little details like this are greatly appreciated. The staff are enjoyable over the phone and are enthusiastic about making your stay the best it can be. If you are looking for outstanding customer care then this is the place to contact!

Our trip to Santa Fe started with a bang when we visited the Management office for the Casas de Santa Fe. Todd, the Owner, came up to greet us, and he and his dog were super friendly! In fact, Todd provided us with a 'must see' list of places to visit like 10,000 Waves (going there this afternoon), as well as some solid restaurants and coffee shops.
Aside from his recommendations, his welcoming spirit, friendly help and suggestions and enthusiastic passion for this area, really jump started our visit to Santa Fe! Next time we visit, will absolutely consider renting one of his lovely casitas, and we'll be sure to tell our friends about him and his rentals.

I will ALWAYS use Casas de Santa Fe! Todd Davis is always available and very helpful in making sure our stay is the best it can be. The properties we've stayed in are beautiful, comfortable and make our Santa Fe experience amazing! Our family loves the views, shopping and dining of Santa Fe, but most of all staying in a place that makes you feel right at home during our vacation. Thank you Casas for making our trips to Santa Fe so wonderful!
