Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, Value Never rent from these crooks. The worst people I have ever had to deal with.

When my roommate and I first moved into the apartment it was so dirty. We were told they did have it cleaned, but even they were upset at how dirty it was, yet they never got their cleaners in there again. So we had to clean it from top to bottom on our move in, and when we moved out we were told we wouldn't get charged any cleaning fees because they had record it was dirty when we moved in.

They still took money from our security deposit for cleaning despite telling us they wouldn't. They also left the lights on before we moved in so our first utility bill was expensive when no one was living there yet. When you call the office they are unbelievably rude. No one in the office ever gave us the same information and when we questioned something they were really unprofessional.

For example, when we signed our lease we were told we would be paying 12 months and our lease would go through 13. When we ended up having to pay the 13th month we asked why and the lady in the office was so rude and said no one told us that because that has never been their policy. They also told this to 2 other people who were living in the same building so we were not the only ones who heard it.

They don't care about their tenets, they only care about every cent they can get from you. Our apartment itself was great and maintenance issues were always resolved, but, because of their rude staff, I wouldn't recommend renting here to anyone.

Moriarty's incompetent management gave the entire refund of my security deposit to my ex-roommate, who walked out on the lease after just seven months. Moriarty was aware that this man had cheated me and tried to cheat them. And they knew that I paid the remaining four months of rent (for a two-bedroom apartment) on my own. After learning that I would get none of my deposit back (and the cheater got $490), I called Moriarty to complain. They said this is just how they do things. I am now renting with Brookings Property Management. Please take your business there instead.

If I could give them zero stars I would. The office people are the most rude and difficult people to work with. No one should be renting from these guys. They just want every dime they can get out of you. Never would I ever recommend such horrible customer service.

Literally just signed the paperwork work and got my keys but never moved anything in because I put myself into inpatient treatment. Called them to see if i could back out of the 6 month lease and told them what was going on and without batting a eye she says nope your stuck with it or unless you find someone to sub lease it for a year! They don't care about you or anything besides getting money from you! Would never ever send a friend here because they don't care about human life they just cate about the money they can give them!

I don't usually leave reviews for anyone but felt this was something that everyone should be aware of. Everyone at Moriarty is horrible to try to work with. Beyond rude and short when asking questions and not willing to help do anything ever. Not to mention the apartment was not ideal and pretty spendy. 10/10 would NOT recommend renting from them. I had seen others post stuff like this before I rented from them and never thought too much about it, but they truly are impossible to work with.

Good luck getting a hold of them after you move out. We needed them for a rental credit check and ended up paying extra because they would not respond. Also good luck staying warm in the winter with heat registers that do not work. Customer service is not great at all and they are rude when problems arise. Also the parking spots are atrocious. Good luck keeping your spot you bloody well pay for during Hobo days.

We had to come up with a plan to maintain our spot and were told by this company there was nothing they could do. I should not have to worry about having my spot open when coming home from work at night. The only redeeming quality this place had was its proximity to campus.

I lived in the gulfview apartment complex. The place itself was very nice and a fair price. However the property management staff was never easy to work with. Throughout the lease, they added rules that were not on the lease that I signed but still were expected to be obeyed. Upon moving out I received large deductions from my damage deposit for items that were in the same condition as when I moved in.

If you move here, please be sure to take before and after pictures and clean every dust particle otherwise you will be charged for it. I have rented from 4 different apartments and never had a deduction from my deposit until i moved here.

I can say, whenever we had issues at the apartment we always have someone come and fix it within 24 hours. However, whenever moving out started getting closer, they would show our apartment and not really give us any warning. One time, the lady even opened the front door without even checking to see if anyone was home. To me, it just felt like a violation of privacy. Also, usually you hear back about anything up with the apartment and I'm still waiting to see if we would even get any of our deposit back after leaving it in tip-top shape.

Upon arriving at Moriarty the staff was super nice, I really enjoyed the ladies I talked to. The apartment we looked at online was a little deceiving because the apartment itself was alot smaller and not very clean. But overall Moriarty isn't bad as a whole. However this review is not about Moriarty as a whole, it is about a lady on staff who took us to see the golf view apartments.

She drove a van with a broken door and laughed at me when I couldn't open it myself. Less than impressed with her. She was rude, snotty and seemed as though she didn't have time for us. She complained that we were looking at apartments too soon. I'm sorry but that's not someone who should be working for a company that actually wants business. Only until she asked what we were going to school for did she change her attitude in the slightest.

Because we were students, she basically treated us like animals. My boyfriend decided we were NOT going with Moriarty after that bad experience. It really is a shame that one of their staff can completely change my perspective on a company.
