Almost Heaven Rentals

Stayed 3 nights in the Harmony House for a extended weekend golf trip with four guys total. If you find anything wrong with the quality or amenities provided with this house, you must have really high standards. Everything about this rental is great. Newer appliances, two washers, two dryers, dishwasher, propane grill w/ utensils, and TV's on all levels of the house.

This place provides it all. towels, trash bags, washer soap, dishwasher pods. Besides all the amenities included, our group thought it was a really nice gesture by the owners to leave a bag of gourmet coffee for you to enjoy during your stay. The only improvement would be to have an ice maker in the fridge, but I understand why not given the pandemic maybe. Roads in Galena territory require some white knuckle driving if coming home late since they are very winding and very dark. We will be back next year hopefully!

Our family has been making the trip to Galena a few times a year for the past several years. We always book with almost heaven rentals. We have stayed in three different properties multiple times and am always extremely impressed by the houses and the the responsiveness and professionalism of Emily and Kevin. Their properties have everything you need in a rental including an outdoor hot tub and access to the clubhouse/pools, which we love. Whenever we have a question or concern they get back to us right away.

We have used Almost Heaven Rentals multiple times while staying in Galena Territory and have had wonderful experiences each and every time. We've been in two of their rentals both very nice and clean. Both Emily and Kevin are kind and helpful always willing to do what they can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Our family stay this summer at Harmony House was perfect! The warm welcome we received with everything we needed and more provided in the house made it feel like a carefree long weekend. The space is perfect with 5 bedrooms and a sprawling game room basement and jacuzzi on one of the decks. The screened in porch was our favorite morning coffee and evening happy hour spot.

We enjoyed the great outdoors paddle boarding on the river, hiking through the territories and pontooning on Lake Galena watching hot air balloons take off before a beautiful sunset. We cannot wait to go back for our next family trip! We love Galena and Almost Heaven Rentals.

Almost Heaven Rentals in Galena is our favorite place to stay when we visit Galena. My Mom, Sisters, Friends & I live in the Chicago suburbs and love to visit Galena several time a year. Almost Heaven Rentals was our first choice to manage our rental house in Galena Territory. Emily and Kevin were professional and took care of every detail. They kept a close eye on our property and appreciated their responsiveness to insure our house was in perfect condition. I would highly recommend Almost Heaven from both sides, either renting from them, or having them manage your rental property.

My friends and I booked the Glen Creek property for a bachelorette weekend 3 months in advance. We tried to contact the owner multiple times on the drive up, but didn't get an answer or a call back. We arrived at the house, unloaded our stuff and another group showed up. Turns out the owner double booked the property for the weekend. They called the owner and she answered right away.

Long story short, we got kicked out and had no where else to go, 3 hours away from home. The bride to be was devastated and we ended up having to stay at a hotel. Luckily we still had fun, but we are completely disappointed that the owner put us in this situation.

We booked with Almost Heaven Rentals in order to accommodate a visit from our out of town family. Our biggest concern was accessibility for my Dad who uses a walker and doesn't do well with stairs. After emailing with Emily she suggested Natures Nook. It was perfect! Dad was able to enjoy a downstairs bedroom with a shower. And, even though the rest of the family and grandkids were enjoying the many amenities throughout the house, he could still enjoy visiting with everyone in the cozy but open living area, kitchen and the screened in porch! Thanks so much for the relaxing and much needed family time!

My wife and I stayed with Almost Heaven for our anniversary this year. I can't say enough about the beautiful property, the attention to detail, and the ease of doing business with them. We were met at our rental house and shown how to operate appliances, fireplace, etc. We had access to the Owner's Club where there's a game room, indoor pool, and workout room.

We were given cell numbers to call/text if we had any questions, and then we were on our own. Our stay was relaxing and quiet. Check out was super easy, and everything was fantastic. The only thing was that the initial reservation and invoicing felt a little clunky and somewhat impersonal. But, after I'd learned that it was a small company, and I spoke on the phone with the fine folks there to firm up our check in time, all my worries about this being anything but a top notch company were gone.

We enjoyed our stay, the amazing house, and the beautiful scenery. I would absolutely recommend Almost Heaven if you're looking to stay near Galena. Thanks for a wonderful anniversary vacation!
