The people who run this are the absolute worst. Absolutely no customer service. I'll explain two issues we've had with them. 1. We had a mice issue that they were extremely reluctant to address. There was no door to our crawl space, leaving it wide open to rodents, animals, and inspects. Our kitchen became infested with mice due to this. We called their emergency number and left VM's 3 times over the span of a week.
No response. Finally after the 4th attempt Chris responded to me with a nasty text saying that "we should've emailed him like normal people" I cannot stress enough how unprofessional these people are. 2. When we moved in we were told that Duke Energy would remain in Metro property's name and that we would just pay Metro for our power. One day we got a very vague email just saying "power to be disconnected June 28th" There was absolutely no explanation on why.
We assumed it must've been some kind of mistake because for the past 3 months we had just been paying metro for power. Anyways we woke up on June 28 to no power and were told we had to switch it in our own name. Which we are happy to do but it left us without power for an entire day. This all could've been avoided by simply communicating to us. If you find a house and metro property is the property management, look elsewhere! They are horrible!

We have been leasing with Metro Properties for over 20 years with my disabled brother. They have leased him at least 4 apartments. They have been accommodating to him and his needs. They have been professional towards him and my family. They have worked with us on anything we need for him. Great company and great staff with Chris and Christie. We are going to miss working with them.

Chris is rude. Christi balances out his rudeness. She has more customer service skills, but she was rarely the person to respond when we called in for issues. Chris would make statements and the deny he said them. when we needed repairs done we would put in request never hear anything back, then call in and his response was always we gave them your number to call isn't it 123-456-7890, when we our number on the portal is 123-456-7809.
We gave them our number constantly, had it updated on the portal, and left it on emails and text messages. But the reason for the delayed response was always we don't have your number. When we moved out we were sent a ridiculous bill that just happened to equal the exact amount of our deposit! Not a penny over or under! A total ripoff!

Metro Property Management is an outstanding property management company. I stayed with them through graduate school and internship. I was very pleased with their genuineness and quick response to maintenance such as the same-day water heater leak and replacement. I referred an incoming classmate to them. BG

We moved to Raleigh from California 6 years ago and bought a second property to use as a rental 5 years ago. Metro was recommended by a builder who owned a number of rental properties and had used several management companies before settling on Metro. We have had very good results with our rental property and find dealing with Christi to be an excellent fit.
She is professional, responsive, and on top of things. We appreciate the fact that, when renting our property, they do a thorough screening. Once tenants are in the property, if problems come up, both Chris and Christi see that things are taken care of promptly and efficiently and we are notified immediately. We definitely recommend Metro.

I have just moved out of a property managed by Metro Property Management after three years. Electronic payment and easy access to my rental history made it easy to pay rent and prove payment history for my car. I totally recommend them. And, they were quick to get that squirrel which fell in my chimney out.

Metro has managed my properties for many years. I have appreciated the care they have taken with my properties and the expert service received. I have been fortunate to have many long term tenants that have treated the properties as their own. The staff at Metro has always been pleasant and responsive and I am glad that I have trusted them with my investments for over 20 years!

I have to disagree with some of the reviewers. I arrived from San Diego CA. I needed to find a place to move, we drove thru the property and met the previous tenant she connected me to Chris from Metro properties the property was suppose to be ready in a 2 weeks, he told me usually he need about 1 week to get thing going. He was able to do the paper work in 2 days and I was in the property by the end of the week.
I was very pleased with the repair service Christy was very prompt in getting repairs done on time I only had an AC issue and Heater issue and they were solved in 2 hours. The only reason we moved it was because we bought a house we really like the property that we lived and also the neighbors. Thanks Chris and Christy for all the help you provide it. Usually you get feed back from bad and people don't take time to write good reviews hope this help your office this is my honest opinion about your outfit.

Metro Property Management has been a Godsend for us! We are not new to the Raleigh-Durham rental market and have been renting homes in Apex and Cary for almost 10 years - commercial and residential. While looking to purchase another property elsewhere, our old residential lease expired (we did not want to renew with previous entity) and we found ourselves in a place where we needed a desirable property with a quick signing process. Chris and his staff at Metro made the process smooth and efficient.
They have been very responsive for the few repairs we have needed and we have been pleasantly surprised by the amenities that came with the property we are renting from them. If you are looking for company that is 'in-the-know' about Wake County properties, Metro Property Management delivers. Highly recommend!

I guess I would be considered a long-term tenant. I have rented three different properties from metro property management and am currently in my sixth year at my residence. Chris has been more than accommodating with my hectic schedule and showing me the properties. If there has ever been any need for maintenance, metro has always made sure that any repairs were made quickly.
The heat actually went out at my house the first winter after I moved in and my furnace was replaced the same day! It was very cold that December and I was very thankful that metro was so quick to make sure my family was warm! My water heater actually sprung a leak in the spring-these things do happen as I'm in a much older house-But my water heater was replaced immediately!
Then came hurricane Matthew, and while the house really didn't have any damage, my den flooded! Sounds like I have a lot of bad luck, huh? But the owner of the property chose an upgrade to replace the flooring and I now have a beautifully remodeled den with luxury vinyl plank floors. They are absolutely beautiful and waterproof! The installers were very professional and worked around my schedule. While there have been some need for maintenance, Chris and Christi have always taken care of my issues in a professional and courteous manner!

Terrible rental company. They won't come and fix things when you request through their online portal. If you call all you ever get is voicemail. Emails bounce because their inbox is full. They don't respond, and it takes months and lots of effort to get anything fixed. Now that we've bought a house and are moving out they will come in and show the house whenever they feel like, with little to no advance notice.
Our family all had Noro virus and they wanted to come and see the house and bring people by that day, with no regard for the fact that we were all violently ill. I had a much better experience with VG Murray. Edit: I've dealt with Chris and Christi there. Chris is the worst, though both are unprofessional and unresponsive. Chris called me to harass me while ill about how "I need to understand where he's coming from" when I couldn't stop throwing up, and how he needed to show the house that day.
He lied about people being in town for just one day, "they drove up from Florida and they're only here for the day". We showed the house ourselves to the person that weekend, and the prospective tenant told us he already lived in Raleigh.

Worst rental company I have ever used--EVER. I would recommend ANY other company in the area over them: Priess, VG Murray, et cetera. You always hear about shady landlords, and I expected to run into more, but nope. just these guys. Now that I am a homeowner, I can't imagine ever trusting them with my property. I hope my consistent reviews across multiple medias have cost them at least as much as they swindled from me.

I own a condo near the Farmers' Market in Raleigh that Metro Property Management had managed for me for two years. They consistently find responsible tenants and send rent checks right on time. Once my current renters were slated to move out, Metro Property quickly and proactively listed the unit and began showing it to potential tenants. There will only be two weeks between the current renters' lease ending and the next lease beginning, just enough time to clean and repair anything for the new folks. So impressed with their professionalism and helpfulness.

Metro Properties has managed my rental property for eight years. Through-out the eight years I have established a wonderful relationship with Metro Properties and could not be any more content with how they have helped me take care of my rental. More importantly, because of their screening process, I have the SAME RENTERS THAT MOVED INTO MY RENTAL EIGHT YEARS AGO!
I HAVE BEEN SO HAPPY WITH MY RENTERS! Metro Properties level of service is at the top #1 as far as I am concerned. I have had several maintenance emergencies and the problem was fixed within 24 hours! I would use Metro Property in the future for other rental properties and highly recommend this company to other homeowners with investment properties.
You do not have to worry about anything, because Chris and Christy take care of everything for you! Thank you Chris and Christy for caring so much about my investment property!

I would give zero stars if I could. Called to inquire about a particular property. The guy REFUSED to give me the information. He asked me what I was looking for and I told him it depends and that I was calling on behalf of 3 different families looking for new places. I told him if he would just give me the specs of the house I was asking about I could pass the information along to whichever family it suited. The man started yelling at me and refused to give me the information then he hung up on me!

Stay as far away from this company as possible unless you want to throw your security deposit away. My daughter rented a house near NCSU from Metro. Foundation issues, wavy floors, kitchen redone with floor linoleum squares used for counter tops, bath not vented and mold painted over. You get the idea, the kind of place we rented when in college. Upon move out, they claimed the house was dirty and pocketed the entire $1,300 security deposit.
My daughter moved on to Dental School in Louisville so she was unavailable to go to small claims court in RDU and they would not let me file on her behalf or I would have done so. Braxton Matthews does not practice the golden rule. Do not do business with them.

Worst customer service ever. I inquired about a property and in my email I said I had a pet. All I got for a response was "Can't have the dog, sorry". No opening, no closing, no referencing me to other pet friendly properties. I responded and said "No worries you are not pet friendly. I hope you don't treat all potential renters with such curt disregard". Chris wrote back, and I quote "I could not have responded at all btw". So extremely unprofessional.

563 pine ridge is infested with bed bugs and metro will really do nothing to remedy the problem we fought for 3 years and they even knew bout the problem prior to us movin in and said nothing. i would suggest not moving in there its an on going problem at that address. i called city of raleigh housing inspector on them and they threw us out. most rude unprofessional people ive ever rented from!

If you are seeking the worst in initial contact and customer service skills, Chris is your guy. Rather than suggest other properties that allowed pets, Chris felt it was more apropos to just send an empty email with the subject line filled with "Ashebrook-no pets" No call, no other info.just that. If your initial contact with a potential lessee is that atrocious, what else would be in store? My suggestion is to look elsewhere.
