If I could give zero stars, or even negative stars, I absolutely would. This complex is such an abysmal place to live. And the reasons range from a lousy maintenance team, to an incessant roach infestation. Maintenance would mark orders as complete when absolutely no one did a single thing. No contact from anybody. My dishwasher was broken nearly my entire lease and they kept marking the work order as complete. Had a broken window that I inputted a work order for; of course it was never addressed.
Thanks for addressing that enormous safety issue! And now for the biggest issue: roaches. This place is DISGUSTING. And I know what you're thinking: oh, if you had kept your place clean, roaches wouldn't be an issue! Nope. Doesn't matter. My place was SPOTLESS, and these nasty abominations came and moved in anyways. They were EVERYWHERE. I had to throw out nearly all of my furniture and belongings because of roaches, upon move-out.
The office would leave notices on my door stating they would be "placing traps" and then never show up. I send an email basically saying "what's going on?" and I get a response stating they're "working on it". Then they tell me it's my responsibility to bomb my apartment. I've spent hundreds on bug sprays and the like, but you can't even follow through on a notice saying you'll place traps?
If you know anything about roaches, specifically German roaches, you know they multiply like rabbits. It was disgusting and practically unlivable. Parking is horrendous. My car was towed twice and no one could tell me why. I was parked in a legal parking spot, my tags were updated, etc. I called the property management company and all I was told was "we don't handle this, here's a phone number, sorry." Thanks, that was $400 out of my pocket and I couldn't even get a clear answer. Just don't live here. Unless you like roach roommates. Oh and constant police calls.

Ive lived in these apartments for two years with my boyfriend and 2 children. Our overall experience has been pretty good. Ive never had any trouble with work orders, one of the maintenance workers in particular has been absolutely amazing. Francisco always goes above and beyond in making sure that whatever is broke or not working gets fixed correctly the first time so that it's not a continuous problem for you. He's also very kind, polite, and helpful.

Honestly, don't do it. I moved into the apt sight unseen due to covid and other circumstances and the very first night I turned on a light to see a swarm of roaches scatter. They hadn't even bothered to fog the apartment prior to my move in. The roaches were a persistent problem and despite the traps they left, I had to also get my own. The door to my apartment never fully closed and could be pushed ajar with the lock on; maintenance came to fix it but did nothing to actually fix the problem since it too persisted.
The "vanity" countertop in the bedroom was mounted badly to the wall and had a slope. The toilets came with mismatched lids for the tanks. Both bathrooms had mini medicine cabinets with broken sliding doors. Carpets were clearly old and hadn't even been fully nailed down (there was a hump at the edge of the carpet you could trip on). None of the windows had screens on them.
And their management spams the same "reminder" email two to three times a week. Blessed be my forethought to only get a nine month lease. Oh and don't expect your security deposit back. Despite cleaning the apartment well, they found a way to "admin fee" and "tax on charge ####" until it was a zero balance.

I've been here about 3 weeks and everything had been wonderful except parking. I really think they need to reconsider the cover parking and at least give each apartment one space per unit and then if there left over you can buy one or just rip out all covered parking or just make it free for all instead of making people pay for it. Even as of right now parking spot that are bought are not being used.
Other then that everything has been good. Amy Kerr is the one that helped me get my home and she was so sweet and caring and made sure she did everything in her power to find me a place for my family. she is so helpful with any questions and keeps you update with everything. Technically all office staff is Wonderful but with out Amy I don't know what I would of done.

Brittany was without a doubt the nicest person I've ran into in a while when going to look at different complexes! She was very knowledgeable and her approachability, unmatched. I hope everyone who goes to look at the complex has the chance to work with her, she sets the tone for a good future there along with the complex itself.

My mother and I lived in these apartments from 2015 to 2021, and during this time there were a lot of ups and downs. We really liked it at first, the property office people were great, maintenance was always done on time and prices were more than reasonable. However, after this "Capilano" company took over, everything went to absolute hell. We had outstanding work orders that went unfixed for months, some even over a year, yet they would mark them as "complete" in their computer system and would always beat around the bush as to the reason why.
The property manager and his bratty, prissy assistant were always very rude and acted as if we were an inconvenience to them by living there, and the dumb blond assistant was ALWAYS talking down to people, always had a snarky and rude attitude in her voice, and threatened to call the police on us in the office when we came to complain about work orders or other various problems.
Our apartment had mold, water damage in the kitchen, disgusting carpet (don't use a black light on your flooring, you'll regret it.) our dishwasher leaked water, our garbage disposal was broken and never got fixed leading to many sink back-ups. My vehicle was towed from the parking lot and was DAMAGED by the driver, the office could not tell me why it was towed and everyone involved refused to take responsibility.
There's always a lot of police calls from this place. All-in-all it's truly an abysmal experience. Go literally anywhere else and you'll be happier. I've heard rumors the parent company isn't even permitted to be renting in Arizona. STAY AWAY!

Lived here for 7 years with substantial rent increases yearly. My curling currently has about 10 holes actively POURING water. Maintenance was contacted two days ago and has done nothing; as of now they are not answering the emergency maintenance line either. We will be provided no rent compensation or compensation for our ruined items.

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE REVIEWS, they ask you to go online and leave a good review. This place is infested with roaches, they tell you they will send someone to fix the issue, but no one ever comes. They have poor urgency, poor communication. Broken gates all the time, appliances are old, paint jobs look like they are done by a 12 year old, homeless run this place more then the property manager does.
Everything is nice and cool, until you move in. DO NOT LIVE HERE, you will regret it. My ac leaked for two weeks and was also broke before someone came to fix it. Miguel is the best thing this place has. Also; as you see, they will try to accommodate with you or ask you to call them when you have had a bad experience. only because you are posting a bad review. But I assure you nothing will be done. You will see more roaches then you will see actual work being done.

I chose Central on Broadway apartments because it was one of the cheapest in the area. Do not make my mistake, apartments are full of roaches. Maintenance will mark your requests as complete and not do them. We had to call them daily for 3 months to repair the dishwasher. Was given incorrect keys, was towed from my parking spot that I pay for. Do you notice how all the 4 or 5 star reviews are from tenants who just moved in? That's because the front desk staff will hound you for a review after you sign a lease. If you rent here I promise you will regret it.

Excellent experience with leasing agent Amy. We completed paperwork within a day and I moved in that weekend. She went the extra mile to make sure I got in on my time limit. Parking is first-come-first-serve and spaces are extremely limited. You can circle the lot multiple times and unless you're renting a covered space, you're SOL. I would never ask guests to park here as there's no guarantee they'll find a spot on the property. Gym and laundromat are only open during office hours, which is difficult for someone who can't normally be around at that time. No Sunday laundry. I have just moved in, so these are first impressions. I will update this review in 6 months.

I've lived here for a few months now and am coming upon the end of my lease so I'll share how it was. Firstly, every apartment here has a roach infestation. Every single one. And when we moved in we found painted over roaches in our bathtub, management knows. They've done very little to get an exterminator out here, and in recent months have switched gears to blaming us for the problem.
We also don't have a working dish washer despite having a "renovated" unit, the cabinets and dishwasher were installed incorrectly so every time you try to use it- flooding. Nothing has been done to fix that. Also every "renovated" unit comes with free holes in the drywall between units, or as I like to call them "roach apartments" so that's super fun, be sure to bring calk when you move in!
Other problems: parking is a nightmare if you work late, after 6pm good luck! Btw we pay $1500/month to live in this roach palace, if you're about to sign a lease here DONT! you will not be comfortable or happy and the problems will keep adding up.

Really close to Tempe and MCC which is a huge pro! However, the pictures look a lot nicer than in person. My friend lives here and the patio in bad condition. No baseboards and is cheaply renovated. Coming from someone who has worked as a carpenter. But this place isn't terrible. No roaches which is a plus! Good first apartment for someone who doesn't care about cosmetics.
