JSK really saved us! When our property manager suddenly decided to retire, we were left stranded as an out-of-state landlord, a very scary position. Then some friends we trust sent us to Steve and Donna. Their service, their professionalism and their open communication style make JSK a great choice.

Moving from Savannah, GA to Keene, NH. So we weren't able to view the apartment until we arrived at the apartment to move in. Signed the lease the day we arrived at the apt. The apt was advertised as a "1 Bdrm" apartment. In reality it was a studio apartment with the "Bdrm" being right next to the stairs of the tenants on the second floor, who were college attendees coming home at all hours of the night.
So you sleep next to a wall with zero sound dampening and little or no insulation as the entire wall and the door to that stairway were freezing all winter long. The building was modified to be a multi-family building as the floor was Swiss cheese where the piping was removed to be relocated to the kitchen. Lots of cold air coming up from there. Also you can hear the sump pump all day long and clear as day due to the holes in the floor.
When we cleaned the apartment, we had removed cigarette tar from the walls as it was noticeably caked on there where it wasn't painted over. They did accept animals which was a requirement. They also were the only ones to respond to our inquiry into the apartment. For that we are grateful. However we had purchased a house one month prior to our lease termination date.
So we had adhered to the lease and given 60 days prior notice, just in case the closing went smoothly we were covered by the terms of the lease. We replaced all of the blinds, requested the oil level remainder to be withdrawn from the security deposit and made the apartment available for viewing as well as move in ready when we left. We are now getting two different reasons from this company as to why we won't be getting the security deposit (minus two costs) back to us. This company should be a last resort or under duress option. It was our only option and we are getting the run around.
