Sanibel Arms Condominiums

Right on the Beach at Sanibel Island. Cute beach rentals with Island decor. Washer, kitchen, patio seating, and convenient parking.

Units are a little dated but fine overall. Pool was nice. Unfortunately the clubhouse was closed due to covid and that was nice when it was open.

We have been vacationing in Sanibel for over 17 years. We have rented and stayed at Sanibel Arms multiple times. The units are privately owned by people and rented through the property manager Nancy. Each unit is different some updated and some not. We have had two instances out of at least 7+ That needed Nancy's attention. The first was a mold smell from the ac that had problems and water damage from a flood because it was beach front ground unit.

The second was during Covid 20/20 and I was appalled at the unit(see below of rental agreement 2,100 unit D1) and the cleanliness. There was dirt all over the walls in the bedrooms and on the beds them selves ( See photos below) The bed skirt looked like it had blood on it and years of dirt. Never laundered. When I called her because I was really upset, even crying, especially when they advertise the extra care and attention during Covid, she literally yelled at me and told me I should stay somewhere else because I always have problems.

Funny enough if you look at guest concierge services section. (Photo below) Says "we want to make your stay here as comfortable as possible" and their commitment to these services. Clearly false advertising based on multiple reviews (TripAdvisor) where people have called Nancy and Joy with problems and she tells them they can go find another place, which is an unacceptable way to handle it. Issues arise and that is what a property management team is there to take care of.

We booked a unit today and they emailed us and said they were cancelling because of our prior experiences. We booked a different property because she manages at least 10 of them and there is no way to determine which ones are "hers". See agreement below. Booked for 11/20. Cancelled on 11/19. I find this completely unacceptable because she does not own those units.

She is taking money out of owners hands because she is truly awful at her job. Particularly unit A5. Nancy should pay them the 1,500 we paid. When my husband called Joy said it is their prerogative who they rent to and they a whole list of people they don't allow to return. Last time we were there we witnessed her and her friend removing all her items out of one unit to another.

My guess is they stay in these peoples units and move once they get booked, or perhaps cancel reservations because they don't want yo move all their items out and have it cleaned. I've spoken to other owners while there last time and none of them had anything nice to say about her or how she treats guests at Sanibel arms. I will be contacting the board of owners to let them know how badly she is mismanaging their property!

I will be also contacting the board of health to share these photos and experiences. I have rental units and I know how to treat people and handle issues with RESPECT and GRACE

Facility is very old, front office staff is not very friendly! The best thing here is the Beach!

A beautiful condo complex right on the beach, our unit was well maintained and despite being one of the farther buildings from the beach, we were still right there in a 2 min walk, as is the pool. Our unit was also well stocked with every Kitchen utensil and appliance you could think of including a dishwasher. It also had a full washer/dryer and a windowed/screened porch, heck it even had an assortment of board games.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable TBH (much too firm for my taste), but that was my only problem with it. The condo does come with a welcome kit like bunch of essential items (One Toliet Paper roll, One Soap, One Paper Towel roll, trash bags in each trash can, Ect.), but you will need to go shopping at either Jerry's or Bailey's to get extras as they don't provide them.

We used the washer/dryer a good amount and it ran great. All and all it was a Fantastic stay and I hope to do it again somtime fairly soon, I highly recommend this place! 5 Stars!

Beach beautiful, and rhe apartment C4 need many things to be more comfortable

The condos are clean, light, and well maintained! The grounds are well kept and beautiful, as always. It's right next to the beach, and there is also a pool so you'll have options if you wanted! My family has made it a tradition to come back down to Sanibel Island yearly and we always feel so welcomed and at home! The office staff has always been so kind and accommodating. Such a good and safe place for family vacationing, we look forward to going back every year. It's such a special place!

Best place to stay on the island. Condos are always clean and the manager is the nicest lady ever. Would recommend staying here anytime you come to Sanibel.

We just got home. The condo F6 was perfect. The staff was great, parking was easy. It was a very last minute trip and we had beautiful weather. I would recommend the facility to anyone. Our condo was a 1 bedroom and fit our needs. Didn't want to leave.

Great place to stay for a week when visiting Sanibel Island. It is close to the beach, has parking, and very friendly people. Our neighbors were from Saginaw, MI and they were awesome!
